# FVG Model™

The **CandelaCharts - FVG Model** is a multi-timeframe Fair Value Gap trading system designed for TradingView. It automatically detects when Higher Timeframe (HTF) liquidity is swept and then maps the resulting Fair Value Gaps directly onto your Lower Timeframe (LTF) chart, eliminating the need to constantly switch timeframes while hunting for high-probability setups.

The model is built on the premise that institutional order flow leaves behind structural footprints — specifically, FVGs formed during displacement moves that follow liquidity sweeps. By pairing your execution timeframe with a higher timeframe for context, the FVG Model identifies these footprints in real-time and provides clear entry zones, structural confirmation, and projected targets.

Whether you are a scalper working off 1-minute charts or a swing trader analyzing daily structure, the FVG Model adapts to your workflow through its intelligent Automatic Pairing system or fully customizable manual timeframe definitions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.candelacharts.com/models/fvg-model-tm.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
